Tip: Many Wedding Planners recommend that you book your wedding reception venue at least six to twelve months in advance, and most brides do this FIRST. Wedding reception sites often fill up quickly, especially the preferred wedding dates (Saturdays) and some facilities can be booked 18 or more months out. If your wedding guests are mostly local, you can sometimes save tremendously by booking your wedding venue on a non-traditional day. Most wedding and reception sites are minimally used on weekdays and will offer significant savings to get your wedding reception booking on those days. Don't hesitate to try to negotiate. Most function facilities won't object if done tactfully, even if they are unwilling to compromise.
