Selected New Hampshire State Parks

Rhododendron State Park in Fitzwilliam, is the state's only botanical park, and features 16 acres of wild Rhododendrons all on fairly easy paths, plus good hiking trails!
Rollins State Park with 5,000 acres in Warner, is the favorite hike of us weekend warrior wanna-bes. You can drive within 1/2 mile of the summit, catch some great views and tell all your friends you went hiking in the mountains. But don't let this pic fool you: there are 2 trails, a moderate half mile hike, and one that will stimulate your acrophobia.
Sculpted Rocks Geologic Site in Groton contains a narrow canyon created by the Cockermouth River. The site has a good walking trail, interesting rock formations, and provides a wonderful swimming hole on a hot summer's day if you can tolerate cool mountain water temps!
Weeks State Park, the estate of John Wingate Weeks in Lancaster, offers picnicking and hiking, plus an optional tour through the house. Perched atop Mt. Prospect, you can drive to the summit, ascend the fire tower, and enjoy splendid views!
Wellington State Park offers swimming, picnicking, fishing, boating and hiking in Bristol, on NH's largest freshwater beach. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, and with an exceptional new dock/launch, this park is a boating family's dream come true and one of our ABSOLUTE favorite day use parks!
