A small park in Laconia, Ahern State Park has a small but wonderful beach that reminds you of Gilligan's Island.

Bear Brook State Park in Allentown (just a few miles from the Epsom Traffic Circle) has an excellent beach, but also camping, an archery range, hiking trails and three onsite museums. Swimmers beware: the water at this beach always seems to be a few degrees cooler than other state parks. More Bear Brook Photos. |

Cardigan State Park, located in the small town of Orange, provides excellent out of the way hiking! |

Clough State Park, located on Everett Lake in Weare, is owned by the US Army Corps on Engineers but leased to the State of NH. Its has a 900 foot beach, picnic areas, boat launches and acres of tall pines. You can also enjoy walking along the dam. |

Coleman State Park enjoys being situated on Little Diamond Pond in Stewartstown. It offers camping, fishing and boating on a nearly private pond and is a great place for children to fish!
